Housekeepers are responsible for providing and maintaining cleaning and catering services as part of the Hotel Services team to clinical and communal areas within the Trust, ensuring a clean, safe, and supportive environment for patients working towards their recovery, staff, and visitors.
You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about prioritizing patient care and putting patients at the heart of everything you do. You will work in a multi-professional team, requiring quick thinking and initiative. A commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the NHS is essential.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Please note, this role does not qualify for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa, and the Trust cannot offer sponsorship for this position.
We seek a friendly, positive, organized, and motivated individual to work as a Relief Housekeeper part-time (20 hours per week) within the Trust's Hotel Services Team.
The post is based at Roseberry Park Hospital in Middlesbrough, with shifts between 7 am and 6 pm, including weekends.
You should be highly motivated, reliable, flexible, and willing to work at short notice, with opportunities for extra hours.
Experience in cleaning duties, use of chemicals and equipment is essential due to the demanding environment. Catering and food service experience is beneficial, along with a passion for providing high standards of customer service.
Experience working or volunteering in mental health and learning disabilities is essential. The ability to maintain a positive approach and professional image when working with relevant client groups throughout the Trust is required.
Candidates must possess a Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or be working towards it within an agreed timeframe.
Essential qualifications include Numeracy, Literacy, and ITQ Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE grades 9-4 or A*-C). NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping is desirable. All candidates should demonstrate a commitment to further training and qualifications as necessary within agreed timescales.
