An established industry player in mental health and learning disabilities is seeking a passionate Relief Housekeeper. Housekeepers are responsible for providing and maintaining cleaning and catering services as part of the Hotel Services team to clinical and communal areas within the Trust, ensuring a clean, safe, and supportive environment for patients working towards their recovery, staff, and visitors.
You will need to be passionate and enthusiastic about putting patient care first, putting patients at the heart of everything you do. You will be working in a multi-professional team and will need to think on the spot and use your own initiative. You will be passionate about creating a culture of continuous improvement within the NHS.
We require friendly, positive thinking, organised, and motivated individuals to work as a Relief Housekeeper, part-time (1 X 18 hours) within the Trust's Hotel Services Team. This may lead to a permanent post if funding becomes available.
The post holder will be based at Bankfield Court, Middlesbrough, TS6 0NP and will be required to work shifts between the hours of 7 AM - 6 PM, including weekends.
You should be highly motivated, reliable, and flexible, also willing to work at short notice as there may be opportunities for extra hours.
Experience in cleaning duties and the use of chemicals and equipment are essential as you will be working in a demanding environment. Catering and food service experience would be beneficial along with a passion for providing high standards of customer service.
Experience of working or volunteering in a mental health and learning disabilities environment is essential. Also, the ability to provide a positive approach and image when working with relevant client groups throughout the Trust.
Candidates must possess a Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or work towards successful completion in an agreed timescale.
Essential are numeracy, literacy, and ITQ Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE grades 9 to 4 (A* to C in the old GCSE grading system).
NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping is desirable. All candidates should demonstrate a commitment to undertake further training and qualifications as deemed necessary for the position within agreed timescales.

The successful candidates will complete a 5-day induction programme, with the location agreed prior to the start date.
