Job summary

St Cuthbert’s Hospice Limited is seeking a Relief Retail Assistant to join our public-facing Retail Team, supporting eight charity shops and our fundraising efforts while delivering friendly, high-quality service.

This fixed-term, part-time role covers holidays and absences across shops, with opportunities to develop in e-commerce and donor engagement. The position ends 27 March 2027, and requires excellent organisation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Organised, adaptable and able to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist across our 8 charity shops to allow an effective daily operation.
• Work with the volunteer team to achieve sales budgets and control costs.
• Deliver excellent customer service to customers, donors and supporters.
• Cover holidays, absence and days off; support Meadowfield outlet when needed.
