Job summary

Creative Support is seeking a kind, proactive Relief/Bank Support Worker to join our Waterloo service in Liverpool, supporting five individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities and/or Autism in their own apartments.

You will provide practical, emotional and personal care support, help residents run their homes, and build warm, trusting relationships. A minimum of 12 months’ experience with learning disabilities is essential; gender is an occupational requirement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ experience working with individuals with learning disabilities.
• Gender is an occupational requirement under Equality Act 2010.

We are looking for kind, fun, and proactive Female Support Workers to join our supported living service in Waterloo, providing support to 5 individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities, and/or Autistic Spectrum Disorders within their own self-contained apartments.

You must be prepared to ‘go the Extra Mile’ to ensure that service users are enjoying the highest quality of life and have opportunities to become more independent and connected to their communities. You will have excellent communication and team working skills whilst promoting service user’s dignity, independence and well-being. If you are calm, resourceful and proactive, this role is perfect for you.

Support Worker Duties

• Help service users with running their own homes
• Completing general housing management tasks, cooking and paying bills
• Develop and sustain warm and trusting relationships with service users
• Provision of personal care to service users

We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, warm, engaging, and creative and want to make a difference to our service user’s lives. Drivers are preferred but not essential.

A minimum of 12 months’ experience working with individuals with learning disabilities is essential.
