Busy Bees In Portishead is seeking a Level 2 Qualified Early Years Assistant to support children’s development through play-based learning in a nurturing setting. You’ll contribute to the Bee Curious curriculum and collaborate with colleagues to provide a high-quality early years experience.

The role focuses on planning engaging activities, building strong relationships with children and families, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment while tracking progress through observations.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in early years education.
• Experience working with children under 5.
• Empathy and understanding – each child is unique.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering educational activities that promote children's development.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
• Take on the role of Key Person, fostering strong partnerships with children and their families.
• Track and report on children's progress through observations and assessments.
