Job summary

Milton Grange Day Centre, operated by East Sussex County Council in Eastbourne, seeks a driver to transport older clients to the centre and support their social engagement. You will also maintain vehicles and report issues to management, ensuring a professional, safe service.

Applicants should have or be willing to train for a D1 licence and possess at least 3 years of driving experience.

Qualifications

• Have a D1 on licence or be happy to take the training to acquire it.
• Minimum of 3 years driving experience.
• Willing to undertake specific work-related training.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport clients to and from Milton Grange Day Centre.
• Carry out weekly and monthly vehicle checks and report any concerns.
• Keep the bus clean and well-maintained to operate the service.

If you want to support older people to access the day centre and support them to maintain their social relationships and access community activities.

As a driver for Milton Grange Day Centre, you can make a real difference to a person’s life by transporting them to the service. We will require you to safely transport clients to and from the Day Centre. You will also be responsible for weekly and monthly checks on the vehicles, reporting any concerns to management, as well as keeping the bus clean and well-maintained in order to operate our professional service.

• Are flexible with your approach to others.
