CL Lifestyles Night Care and Support Somerset seeks a Relief Deputy Unit Manager to support the Oaklands Village Specialist Dementia Residential Unit in Swadlincote. Join a team delivering high-quality, person-centred care and provide leadership to staff under the Service Manager.

The role covers management cover during annual leave, sickness, and other operational needs, with a focus on safeguarding, quality assurance and continuous improvement in dementia care.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting people living with dementia.
• Supervisory or leadership experience within a care setting.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and person-centred practice.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• NVQ/QCF Level 4 in Leadership and Management (or willingness to work towards).
• Experience within a regulated residential care service.
• Knowledge of medication management and quality assurance processes.

Responsabilités

• Deputise for the Service Manager in their absence.
• Lead and support care staff to deliver exceptional person-centred care.
• Promote dignity, independence and wellbeing for residents.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments and safeguarding practices.
• Support staff through supervision, coaching and mentoring.
• Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals and partner agencies.
• Assist with audits, quality assurance and service improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
