Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is recruiting for a Relief JLR specific Security Officer. The role focuses on creating a safe, welcoming environment for visitors and staff while patrolling and monitoring access points.

You will be trained and supported to develop your security skills and advance within the team. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and provide full induction, ongoing training, and structured career development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old per Security Industry Authority licensing requirements.
• Holder of an SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence.
• Previous security experience is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Being a friendly and helpful first point of contact for customers, offering guidance and support when needed.
• Helping to keep colleagues, customers and the site safe and secure at all times.
• Creating a professional, approachable and reassuring presence on site.
• Handling incidents calmly and professionally, with support from the wider team when needed.
• Carrying out patrols, monitoring access points and helping to prevent unauthorised activity.
• Working closely with colleagues as part of a supportive, professional and customer-focused team.

The Role

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

• At least 18 years old, in line with Security Industry Authority licensing requirements.
• Reliable, flexible and confident in a busy environment.
• A holder of an SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence.

Previous security experience is helpful, but it’s not essential. If you’ve recently gained your SIA licence, we’d still be very happy to hear from you. What matters most is your attitude, professionalism and willingness to learn. We’ll make sure you have the training, support and encouragement you need to feel confident in the role and grow with us.
