Orkney Islands Council is seeking a Relief Cook to support Older People's Care Facilities in Stromness. You will deliver catering across facilities, plan menus and cook high quality, nutritious meals for frail service users, including those with dementia, adapting for dietary needs.
The role is on a relief basis with unsocial-hour shift allowances where appropriate, and a Level 2 PVG disclosure is required. The post is paid at £15.94 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance).

You will be reporting to a Senior Social Care Worker.
This is a relief position, for inclusion on a list of people available for offers of work as and when required.
The purpose of this role is the management and delivery of the catering requirements across Older People's Care Facilities.
You will be responsible for menu planning, cooking high quality, varied and nutritious meals for service users who are physically frail and those with dementia, taking account of individual specialist diets.
