Smart Solutions in Crawley is seeking an experienced Relief Class 2 Dustcart Driver to support daily waste collection operations. It is a temporary/relief role, with shifts offered based on client requirements and operational demand.

You will drive a Class 2 dustcart and contribute to the local waste collection routes, working on early morning shifts in a physically demanding outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Previous dustcart, refuse collection or waste management driving experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of health and safety.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to work early morning starts.
• Comfortable working in an outdoor and physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 dustcart safely and responsibly.
• Carrying out waste collection duties across planned routes.
• Working as part of a refuse collection team.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
• Working to scheduled start and finish times.
• Dealing professionally with members of the public where required.
• Maintaining a high standard of safety and vehicle care.
