Job summary

Olive Dining Ltd. is seeking a Relief Chef Manager to support both primary and secondary school kitchens in Barking and surrounding areas. You will help cover holidays and sickness, working with the development team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and high-quality meals.

The role offers term-time-only hours, Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm (40 hours), with mileage paid and free meals on duty. A strong kitchen background and a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in schools or catering.
• Food safety certificate or equivalent; focus on safe, healthy and tasty meals.
• Good teamwork and ability to stay calm under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Relief Chef Manager to support primary and secondary schools.
• Cover holidays and sickness as needed.
• Collaborate with development team and report to head of development.
• Work within a large team to deliver meals and operations.
