Job summary

BaxterStorey UK is seeking a Relief Chef for a Mon to Fri role in Stirling, Fife, United Kingdom. You will prepare and cook dishes to recipe standards, manage your station, and maintain kitchen cleanliness in line with policy.

You will collaborate with the head chef on menu development, uphold food safety, and contribute to a positive, high-energy kitchen environment. Previous commis chef experience and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in as a Commis Chef or similar role.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation – prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Station Management – oversee production of all dishes at your station and keep area stocked and clean.
• Quality Control – maintain high quality standards for all dishes, considering presentation and taste.
• Team Collaboration – communicate effectively with team members and assist colleagues when needed.
• Menu Development – collaborate with head chef to develop and taste new recipes, offering improvements.
• Cleaning and Maintenance – keep kitchen and designated area clean and equipment in good working order.
