McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a Relief Care Assistant to join Kingfisher Court in Taunton, Somerset. Built in 2022, Kingfisher Court provides Retirement Living Plus with 62 apartments for the over 70s, offering on-site facilities.

The role involves care and support, housekeeping, helping residents with appointments, transport, and activities. The hourly rate is £13.26, with up to £1.30 more for evenings and weekends; shifts are on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support environment preferred.
• Passion for wellbeing and happiness of older people.
• Willingness to work as part of a team in a busy setting.
• QCF Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to residents.
• Deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the estate, including apartment cleans.
• Assist residents with appointments, transport, and accompanying on visits.
• Encourage participation in activities to support health and wellbeing.
