Job summary

McCarthy & Stone in Glasgow is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to support residents with daily living in a single modern location. You’ll provide personal care, assist with activities, and help with practical tasks, bringing a warm, friendly presence to the team.

Salary is competitive (£13.70–£15.00 per hour on some evening/weekend shifts), with paid training, a supportive environment, and access to our wellbeing and discounts platform. Driving is optional but not required.

Qualifications

• Warm, friendly and passionate about supporting older adults.
• Team player who is reliable and willing to learn.
• Over 18 years old and driving is preferred but not essential.
• Experience in care or Health & Social Care Level 2 is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting residents with personal care and daily routines.
• Organising and joining in with activities.
• Booking appointments and helping with practical tasks.
• Escorting residents on outings and appointments.
• Being a consistent, friendly presence in residents’ lives.
• Light cleaning and domestic duties.
