Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is seeking a Zero-hour Care Assistant in Whitley Bay at Elderton Place to deliver compassionate, person-centred care in a single location. You will help residents with daily routines and activities, ensuring a warm, supportive environment.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided; you must be over 18, and driving is helpful but not essential. The role pays £13.26 per hour, with enhanced rates for some evening/weekend shifts and includes pension, wellbeing

• Over 18 years old and preferably able to drive but not essential.
• Experience in care or a Health & Social Care Level 2 qualification is beneficial but not required.

What You’ll Do

As a Zero-hour Care Assistant, you’ll deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Your role will include:

• Escorting residents on outings and appointments

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:
