Job summary

High Life Highland is seeking a Relief Catering Assistant for Inverness Botanic Gardens & Café, with shifts as required. You will serve drinks and meals, run the till, and help maintain clean, welcoming visitor areas across Café Botanics and Café Aqua. This role requires flexibility to cover rotaed shifts and events.

The position emphasises customer service, food hygiene, and teamwork as you support supervisory staff and other local facilities when needed.

Qualifications

• No PVG check required
• Right to work in the UK (where applicable)
• Two references, one from the most recent employer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, snacks, meals and café products to standard
• Welcome customers in a friendly, professional manner
• Operate the till and handle card and cash payments
• Support food preparation, baking and service as directed by the Catering Supervisor or Manager
• Keep café, seating, food prep and visitor areas clean and well presented
• Follow hygiene, HACCP, health and safety, and GDPR procedures
