We have a role of Relief Charity Shop Assistant Manager to work in a small team within the charity shop of our Cambridge Heath Corps. This role is to work on a relief basis to provide cover for staff holidays, sickness, and training days. Responsibilities include working with volunteers, sorting stock, displaying stock, serving customers, and till work.

The Salvation Army, through this church charity shop, aims to meet the needs of the local community and raise funds for its local work.

The post-holder will be responsible for daily shop operations, including stock management, housekeeping, security, cash handling, health and safety, and working with volunteers. You will be a key holder, responsible for opening and closing the shop. Training will be provided.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven interpersonal skills
  • Experience in a charity shop or retail environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Enjoy working with people
  • Basic proficiency in Maths and English
  • Commitment to the values, aims, and ethos of The Salvation Army
