Job summary

Breedon Group plc is seeking a reliable and hardworking Relief Asphalt Plant Supervisor to support our North-East sites. You will operate plant equipment, batch materials to design specifications, and drive safe, efficient production at Divet Hill Quarry & Asphalt Plant in Northumberland.

You will work as part of the Operations and Maintenance team, following rigorous health, safety and environmental procedures at all times, with opportunities for training and career progression within a leading

Qualifications

• Reliable and detail-oriented individual who can work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to site needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control mobile asphalt batching plants in line with production schedules.
• Accurately batch materials to meet approved asphalt mix design specifications.
• Monitor plant performance, temperatures, moisture content and production output for consistent quality.
• Carry out routine plant inspections and basic preventative maintenance checks.
• Adjust plant settings to maintain product quality, consistency and efficiency.
• Record production data, stock levels, delivery documents and QC results.
• Coordinate with weighbridge, drivers and site supervisors for efficient operations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Identify and report plant faults or material issues promptly.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across the plant and stockpile areas.
