Job summary

Dundee City Council is recruiting for a part-time housing support role based at Lily Walker Centre and Honeygreen. You will work a shift rota to provide support to residents of the centre and the supervised unit, including help with temporary accommodation preparation and clerical/reception duties.

Candidates should have good communication skills, IT proficiency, and be able to work independently, including weekends and sleepovers, with PVG checks required for regulated work with vulnerable

Qualifications

• You will have 3 National 4s, or equivalent, including English and Maths or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Based at Lily Walker Centre and Honeygreen, you will work part time, 20 hours per week. There may also be a requirement to work within dispersed accommodation flats. The Individual

You will have an experience of working with homeless clients or who require additional support. You will have good communication skills, verbal and written and be empathetic/sympathetic. You will have IT skills. You will have ability to work alone and unsupervised. You will be able to work shifts (including weekends and sleepovers) and be able to work at short notice. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
