Job summary

Driver Hire Manchester are currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5T HGV Driver to join our client, a busy and well-established fruit and vegetable wholesaler. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable driver looking for regular, ongoing work with a friendly and professional company.

Role involves driving a 7.5T vehicle, multi-drop deliveries, loading and unloading, and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid 7.5T / Category C1 licence.
• CPC and Digi Tachograph.
• Previous commercial driving experience.
• Multi-drop delivery experience preferred.
• Experience within fresh produce, food or wholesale distribution would be an advantage.
• Physically fit, as some manual handling is involved.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Driving a 7.5T vehicle delivering fresh fruit and vegetables to customers.
• Completing multiple deliveries throughout the day.
• Loading and unloading goods.
• Checking delivery notes and ensuring orders are delivered accurately.
• Providing excellent customer service at each delivery.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks.
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time.
