Job summary

Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for a 7.5T Driver to work for our well-respected client based in Stockport. You will be delivering food and fresh produce to businesses with manual handling required.

Hours are typically 7am starts with around 9 hour days, and the position is temp-to-perm, offering a full-time opportunity for the right candidate. Pay is £15.00 per hour, paid weekly via PAYE, with a holiday uplift to £16.81 per hour if holidays are paid upfront.

Qualifications

• Valid C1 (7.5T) licence is required.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 months relevant driving experience.
• No DDs, DRs, INs, or TTs on record.
• Good time management and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5T HGV vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report issues.
• Maintain regular contact with Branch Managers on progress.
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time.

Please be advised that this is a temp to perm position so the right candidate will be offered a full-time job.

Duties Include for the 7.5T Driver:

• Safe and responsible driving of the HGV 7.5T vehicle
• Conducting daily vehicle checks
• Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress.
• Completing paperwork accurately and on time

Requirements of the 7.5t Driver:

• Valid C1 (7.5T) Licence
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months' relevant experience
• No DDs, DRs, INs, or TTs
• Good time management and reliability

Hours are generally 7am starts - average 9 hour days. Start date is ASAP.

Pay Rates (Paid Weekly via PAYE):

Whilst employed with Driver Hire Stockport you will receive £15.00ph. If you choose to have your holidays paid upfront it increase to 16.81ph

When you go full time it will increase to £15.29ph + any additional benefits they offer.
