The Reliability and Test Engineer is responsible for driving quality, reliability, and system performance within the product development team. They will focus on protecting customer interests by assessing and mitigating risks throughout all phases of development, ensuring electromechanical systems meet high standards of performance and durability. Responsibilities include developing and executing validation tests, operating test and data acquisition equipment, analyzing results, and providing feedback to engineering teams for product improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product testing, preferably within electromechanical or embedded system environments. Experience in manual and automated testing methods, programming languages such as Python and C, and familiarity with PLCs, Arduino, HALT, and thermal chambers are essential. Knowledge of tools like TestStand, Minitab, Jira, and reliability engineering practices such as FMEA and Weibull Analysis is highly desirable.
The candidate should be a strong communicator, capable of translating complex technical data into clear insights for diverse stakeholders. They should be self-motivated, proactive, able to work independently, and collaborative. A degree in Engineering or related field, along with a passion for quality, continuous improvement, and test-driven development, is preferred.
