The Reliability and Test Engineer is responsible for driving quality, reliability, and system performance within the product development function. They will focus on protecting customer interests by assessing and mitigating risks throughout all phases of development, ensuring that electromechanical systems meet the highest standards of performance and durability. This involves developing and executing validation tests, operating test and data acquisition equipment, post-processing results, and providing clear feedback to engineering teams to support product improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product testing, ideally within electromechanical or embedded system environments, and be experienced in both manual and automated testing methods. Skilled in using programming such as Python and C, and familiar with PLCs, Arduino, and test equipment including HALT and thermal chambers, they will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing complex testing activities.
Experience with tools such as TestStand, Minitab, and Jira, and knowledge of reliability engineering practices including FMEA and Weibull Analysis, is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to translate complex technical data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. They will be self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals. A degree in Engineering or a related field, alongside a passion for quality, continuous improvement, and test-driven development, are essential.
