Job description

ChampionX is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer located in Fawley, Southampton. The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and maintainability of systems, equipment, and processes within the ChampionX Fawley Plant. This role involves analysing performance and reliability data, developing maintenance strategies, and implementing improvements to maximise the uptime and lifespan of critical assets.

What You Will Do:

• Collect and analyse reliability data, perform root cause analysis, and develop reliability metrics and reports.
• Design and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs using condition monitoring and diagnostic techniques.
• Conduct failure mode and effects analysis and reliability-centred maintenance, developing strategies to enhance equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with design and process engineers to incorporate reliability into new designs.
• Lead reliability projects from conception to implementation, coordinating cross-functional teams and managing resources effectively.
• Provide training and support on reliability best practices, developing documentation and training materials.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and develop reliability policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related).
• At least 3 years of experience in reliability engineering or maintenance.
• Experience with reliability analysis techniques and tools.
• Proficiency in reliability modelling and simulation software.
• Knowledge of maintenance management systems.

Physical Demands:

This role requires working in a chemical manufacturing plant and the ability to climb ladders.
