Job summary

Reliability Engineer role based in Northumberland, United Kingdom, offered on a permanent basis with a 35.5-hour week. Salary up to £46,500 per year.

You will apply reliability engineering methodologies, gather and interpret performance data, and develop maintenance programmes to ensure plant availability. The position requires a engineering qualification and CMMS experience, with benefits including pension and private medical insurance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of maintenance strategies: preventive, predictive and RCМ.

Responsibilities

Reliability Engineer

Location: Northumberland

Salary: Up to £46,500

Job Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 35.5 hours per week, early finish FridaysDay-to-day of the role:

• Apply a range of reliability engineering methodologies and tools to improve asset performance, including maintenance systems, risk-based approaches, and failure analysis techniques.
• Gather, interpret, and evaluate equipment performance data to identify failure patterns and support reliability improvements.
• Produce clear reports outlining reliability insights, trends, and practical recommendations to enhance performance.
• Develop and refine planned and predictive maintenance programmes to ensure consistent plant availability.
• Drive continuous improvement activities aimed at increasing overall equipment effectiveness and operational performance.
• Take ownership of reliability-focused projects, ensuring delivery through to completion.
• Maintain accurate asset records, including equipment criticality assessments and long-term lifecycle planning.Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree, NVQ Level 4, ONC/HNC, BTEC, or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
