Job summary

Pin Point Recruitment is seeking an Asset Integrity & Reliability Engineer for a major manufacturing site in Shotton. You will own asset reliability, improve plant availability and reduce unplanned downtime in a fast-paced process environment.

You will work with maintenance, operations and engineering teams to deliver risk-based maintenance, asset surveys, a live risk register and data-led maintenance actions using RCA, FMEA and RCM techniques.

Qualifications

• HNC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience in manufacturing, process or high-volume environments.
• Knowledge of reliability tools such as FMEA, RCA, and RCM.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and CMMS scheduling.
• Ability to translate data into actionable maintenance actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop risk-based preventative maintenance plans.
• Complete asset condition, criticality and obsolescence surveys.
• Maintain an Asset Risk Register and deliver improvement plans.
• Use RCA, FMEA and RCM to improve MTBF and reliability.
• Introduce condition-monitoring techniques including vibration analysis and thermography.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance shutdowns and line outages.
• Review critical spares and improve inventory accuracy.
• Support capital projects with scopes and business cases.
• Coach operators in autonomous maintenance and asset care.
• Ensure work meets health, safety, quality and environmental standards.

Location: Shotton, Flintshire (CH5)

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 + bonus and excellent benefits

We’re recruiting an Asset Integrity & Reliability Engineer for a major manufacturing site in Shotton.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of asset reliability, improve plant availability and reduce unplanned downtime within a fast-paced process environment.

The role

You’ll work closely with maintenance, operations and engineering teams to develop a more proactive, data-led approach to asset care. Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing risk-based preventative maintenance plans
• Completing asset condition, criticality and obsolescence surveys
• Maintaining an Asset Risk Register and delivering improvement plans
• Using RCA, FMEA and RCM techniques to improve reliability and MTBF
• Introducing and developing condition-monitoring techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography and lubrication analysis
• Planning and coordinating maintenance shutdowns and line outages
• Reviewing critical spares and improving inventory accuracy and availability
• Supporting capital projects with scopes, business cases and acceptance criteria
• Coaching operators in basic asset care and autonomous maintenance
• Ensuring all work meets required health, safety, quality and environmental standards

What we’re looking for

• HNC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
• Practical engineering experience within manufacturing, process, production or another high-volume environment
• Working knowledge of reliability tools such as FMEA, RCA and RCM
• Experience of preventative maintenance, CMMS scheduling and condition monitoringStrong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to turn technical data into clear, practical maintenance actions
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments
• A safety-focused and methodical approach
