Job summary

Mars is seeking a Reliability Technician for our Plymouth factory. You will manage day-to-day electrical issues, support FMOS processes and drive improvements to achieve world-class reliability, safety, and availability of plant equipment.

Collaborate with Production TLs and Maintenance teams to align priorities, review maintenance schedules, and provide technical support across equipment and processes. Experience with automation and robotics is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical skills from relevant education and hands-on experience.
• Strong electrical systems experience with PLC programming and fault finding.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Ability to support project engineering for maintainability and lifecycle reliability.
• Experience developing equipment and process specifications.
• Basic project management skills within engineering/reliability projects.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD (or similar).
• Robotic experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Identify, track, and resolve breakdowns and reliability issues with Production and Maintenance teams.
• Attend FMOS meetings and own electrical and controls actions and root-cause solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement through plant enhancements and RCA.
• Review and optimise planned maintenance schedules to improve reliability.
• Provide technical support including performance standards and repair specs.
• Maintain documentation, reports and project updates per team processes.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations and external partners; support knowledge sharing.
