A leading IT consultancy in Bristol is seeking to hire a Release Manager to drive their digital release strategy. The role involves developing release strategies, managing resources, and implementing automated capabilities. An exciting opportunity to join our client and take a lead role in driving their Digital Release & Environment strategy.

Specific Requirements

You will demonstrate the required skills and manage resources (both internal and external) needed to deliver the Release and Environments Service across a range of platforms, all seamlessly integrated within one another, hosted in a mix of Salesforce, Azure, AWS, on-premise and more.

Role Responsibilities
  • Develop and obtain approval for the release strategy for the end-state Programme.
  • Ensure release strategy and processes are aligned across all workstreams where possible.
  • Implement necessary process changes to transition to the end-state release strategy in support of the delivery roadmap.
  • Demonstrable expertise in effective release management for multi-tier technology estates.
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior release management experience.
  • As an experienced DevOps and CI/CD practitioner, with a proven track record in creating release strategies and seeing them through to business as usual through the use of automation tooling, CI/CD pipelines and data refresh processes.
  • Proficiency in source control, code management, branching, and build pipelines.
  • Track record in creating, managing, and publishing release roadmaps.
  • Experience in implementing automated release management capabilities.
  • Previous involvement in managing multiple test environments and related release schedules.
