Job summary

NHBC in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced Environments and Release Manager to own development, test, staging and production environments and lead end-to-end release management. You will drive changes into live operation in a controlled, secure and repeatable way, and champion deployment automation and CI/CD.

Working across Salesforce and Oracle, you will partner with DevOps and delivery teams to ensure reliable releases, manage the release calendar, and mentor the growing team as the

Qualifications

• Strong, current experience in release and environment management across complex, multi-platform estates.
• Hands-on experience managing Salesforce releases, metadata and sandboxes.
• Experience with Oracle and web technologies in dev/test/staging/prod.
• Proficient with Git, GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD design and management.
• Experience in configuration management, deployment control and environment promotion.
• Good understanding of ITIL-aligned change, release and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage NHBC’s environments across development to production.
• Lead end-to-end release management ensuring planned and controlled deliveries.
• Develop and improve release standards, processes and ways of working.
• Manage the release calendar, dependencies, conflicts and risks.
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams on deployment and provisioning.
• Chair release readiness reviews and ensure change controls are followed.
• Provide progress updates and stakeholder communication across delivery teams.
• As the team grows, take on line management responsibilities including coaching and development.
