Job summary

YMCA St Paul’s Group is seeking a qualified counsellor to take on the Counselling Coordinator role. You will oversee day-to-day Release Counselling and Support Services for housing residents within a defined area, liaising with hostel staff to support wellbeing and maintaining professional, ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified counsellor with substantial experience in a community/ housing context.
• Ability to undertake clinical assessments and work within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills to engage a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage staff to promote therapeutic services available to residents.
• Deliver clinical services including one-to-one counselling, wellbeing sessions and group work.
• Provide line management supervision for Volunteer Counsellors.
• Coordinate referrals and manage the referral process end-to-end.
• Maintain accurate data, KPIs and generate monthly statistics.
