Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in the UK is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager for SME Business Banking. You will manage a portfolio of 50-70 clients and identify opportunities to grow the business while delivering first-class service to existing and prospective customers.

This role requires strong relationship and lending experience, a proactive approach to business development, and the ability to work across local networks in Bristol, Cheltenham and Gloucester.

Qualifications

• Experience in Business/Corporate Banking or Financial Services.
• Relationship management or client management experience with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Business development skills with a track record of account expansion and winning new business.
• Commercial lending experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and share information clearly.
• Comprehensive understanding of risk management.
• Full driving licence to attend face-to-face meetings in the Bristol, Cheltenham and Gloucester areas.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in our SME Business Banking segment where you’ll engage with our existing and prospective customers to help them realise their ambitions. As a Relationship Manager, your key goal will be to operate as a person of influence to our customers with a turnover of between £2m and £15m and ensure you deliver world‑class customer service.

In This Role You’ll

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Experience of working in Business/Corporate Banking or Financial Services
• Relationship management or client management experience with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
• Business development skills with a track record of account expansion and winning new business
• Commercial lending skills and experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and share information in a clear, concise and accurate way
• Comprehensive understanding of risk management
• A full driving licence in order to attend face to face meetings with customers in the Bristol, Cheltenham and Gloucester areas
