Job summary

PIMCO is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join its Regulatory Transaction Reporting Technology team in London. You will gather requirements, define functional specs, and support testing across MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR and other regimes, partnering with Operations and Engineering to deliver compliant reporting solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of experience in business/functional analysis within financial services tech.
• Strong experience gathering, documenting, and validating requirements.
• Experience facilitating discussions with business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience supporting software development lifecycle end-to-end.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting regimes (MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR).

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams in a multi-year program to modernize PIMCO’s regulatory transaction reporting platform.
• Translate regulatory obligations and reporting needs into business requirements and user stories.
• Facilitate requirement sessions and clarify scope, rules, and data requirements.
• Create process flows, data mapping artifacts, and supporting analysis materials.
• Collaborate with engineering teams through the software development lifecycle.
• Develop test scenarios, cases, and validation approaches.
• Coordinate testing activities with stakeholders.
• Assist with defect triage and issue resolution.
• Support release validation and post-implementation verification.
