Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Services Field Officer (Tobacco Control) to join their team based in Barnsley. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for 2 years from appointment. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £27,711 - £37,035 per annum (career graded).

The Role:

Our client is recruiting for a Regulatory Service Field Officer within their busy Trading Standards Team in Barnsley. The role involves protecting the public by providing advice to businesses and enforcing laws related to illegal tobacco, illegal vaping products, and underage sales.

You will support local businesses in understanding new tobacco and vaping legislation, which aims to restrict access to tobacco products among young people and regulate vaping product sales, especially those intended as smoking cessation aids.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Level 3 qualification
• Previous experience in dealing with the public and businesses
• Additional qualifications and a portfolio can lead to a higher salary scale
