Job summary

Leatherhead Food Research is seeking an experienced Regulatory and Scientific Affairs Senior Manager to lead high-impact regulatory projects for global food and beverage clients. The role combines regulatory expertise with project leadership and people management, shaping the direction of regulatory services.

You will collaborate with internal experts and clients, oversee complex programmes, and support the development of a high-performing regulatory team in a global context.

Qualifications

• Extensive regulatory experience within the food and beverage industry, typically gained over around 10 years.
• Strong knowledge of food legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience in managing complex projects and multiple workstreams; experience leading, mentoring or line managing regulatory professionals.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver regulatory projects across the food and beverage sector, ensuring high technical quality and timely delivery.
• Provide clear, pragmatic regulatory advice and interpretation of food legislation across multiple markets.
• Plan and manage projects, including resourcing, timelines and budgets.
• Lead, mentor and line manage members of the regulatory team, supporting their development and performance.
• Build strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to regulatory publications, service development and thought leadership.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments and emerging issues relevant to the food and beverage industry.
