Description: Regulatory Reporting Manager
Location: London (UK residents only)
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30
Overall Purpose of Job
KMC are undergoing a period of change with predominant focus on strengthening our control environment specific to our regulatory reporting processes.
We are looking for an individual with a strong desire to work with internal stakeholders to enhance our current regulatory reporting processes and controls.
This individual must have a strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and be able to liaise with a range of internal stakeholders including Executive Management, regulatory report owners and preparers.
Key Accountabilities
- Implement a plan and manage and oversee the delivery of the plan to strengthen regulatory reporting processes and controls, as identified through gap analysis.
- Identify and assess the risks around each regulatory return, supporting the business in planning and executing mitigating action plans for risks identified.
- Conduct thorough review of data sources used to produce each regulatory return and work with the regulatory report owners to document data dictionaries for each regulatory reporting return.
- Review and update the Regulatory Reporting Policy, and ensure compliance with its content.
- Maintain the suite of regulatory reporting documentation to support the regulatory reporting process, and ensure all stakeholders are supported with their understanding of the content.
- Assist with reviews by Compliance and Internal Audit, and lead the implementation of and remediation actions that may be required.
- Prepare all papers for the Regulatory Reporting Oversight Committee meeting and perform role of Committee Secretary.
- Review and assess the effectiveness of the Regulatory Reporting Committee.
- Other ad hoc tasks as required.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills
- Good working knowledge of regulatory returns within a financial services business regulated by the FCA. Experience of mortgage-specific FCA and BoE returns would be an advantage but not essential.
- Demonstrable experience in a transformation or project management role.
- Experience of internal or external audit would be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of data domain controls, incorporating Critical Data Elements and Authoritative Data Sources.
- Ability to network and build relationships across the business in a hybrid working environment and to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage expectations of key stakeholders.
- Well organised with strong attention to detail.
- This person should be able to work with limited supervision and be comfortable providing regular progress updates to senior stakeholders.
