Job summary

London Metal Exchange (LME) is seeking a Technical Regulatory Reporting Analyst to support EMIR, MiFID II and SFTR reporting obligations in its UK division. The role combines regulatory reporting with technical data analysis, automation and testing across multiple systems.

You will develop SQL queries, use Python for automation, and collaborate with Regulatory Reporting, Technology, Compliance and Operations to improve data quality and controls. A strong data-driven mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Regulatory Reporting or related financial reporting/controls environment.
• Experience investigating complex data issues and performing root cause analysis.
• Experience handling large datasets and datac reconciliations.
• Understanding end-to-end transaction lifecycle and regulatory reporting processes.
• Experience supporting change initiatives or process improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• EMIR Transaction, Position, Valuation and Collateral Reporting for LME Clear.
• SFTR Reporting for LME Clear.
• MiFID Reporting for LME.
• Submit other regulation reports for LME and LME Clear.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries for reconciliations and validation.
• Analyse large datasets to identify data quality issues and control weaknesses.
• Use Python and other tools to automate processes and management reporting.
• Produce timely MIS and maintenance of static data.
• Review BAU processes and drive automation to create efficiencies.
• Perform UAT for development changes and assist data lineage analysis.
