Job Title: Regulatory Manager – Cosmetics

Cpl is collaborating with a growing beauty and skincare company with a large customer base, ranging from high street retailers worldwide, online fashion retailers, and licensed products. The focus is on colour cosmetics, skincare, hair care, body care, and fragrances.

The business seeks a Senior Regulatory Affairs Leader to join a rapidly growing, high-energy company in Northwest England. The role involves designing and manufacturing private label and branded cosmetic products from concept to delivery.

As a Regulatory Manager, you will join the Regulatory Compliance Team of 9 members. Reporting to the Head of Regulatory, Technical & Quality, you will lead the regulatory compliance team, managing regulatory & technical compliance for retail partners and the company's innovative cosmetic range. You will collaborate closely with NPD Teams and the new China Factory to ensure products meet global sale requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for regulatory inquiries from customers or team members.
• Collaborate within cross-functional teams and communicate complex regulatory requirements and technical data to diverse audiences to facilitate successful product launches.
• Ensure comprehensive regulatory compliance for all product artworks and marketing messages across all channels and markets.
• Work with the Head of Regulatory, Technical & Quality to develop and implement the Global Regulatory strategy.
• Support NPD on claims and testing to maximize and ensure compliance with legislation in key markets.
• Maintain a deep understanding of global regulations to keep the business agile and compliant during rapid growth.
• Take ownership of developing safe and compliant products, advising development teams on ingredient selection, and utilizing external consultants when necessary.
• Author and compile technical documentation for submissions, licensing, re-licensing, and change reporting.
• Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Previous experience in cosmetics is REQUIRED
• At least 8+ years of significant experience in cosmetic regulatory affairs
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all management levels
• Strong analytical skills and proactive issue anticipation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with creativity and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment with a sense of urgency and speed to market
