Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Gloucester is seeking a Head of Regulation and Compliance (Band 8a, 15 hours per week). The post holder will provide Trust-wide leadership for regulatory compliance, accreditation programmes, external assurance and governance of regulatory action planning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in quality governance, healthcare management or compliance.
• Formal qualification in quality improvement, quality management systems, governance or compliance.
• Non-Medical Independent Prescriber and knowledge of CQC/NHS regulatory environment.
• Deep understanding of healthcare governance, quality assurance and compliance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Trust's regulatory compliance and accreditation portfolio.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive regulatory compliance framework aligned to requirements.
• Interpret national policy and legislation into Trust processes.
• Ensure readiness for external inspection and accreditation assessments.
• Horizon scan regulatory requirements and advise senior leaders.
• Lead regulatory reviews and coordinate evidence submissions.
• Oversee systems to track compliance against standards.
• Support Exec Directors in demonstrating compliance and improvement.
