Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Head of Regulation and Compliance, Band 8a, 15 hours per week. The role provides Trust‑wide leadership for regulatory compliance, accreditation programmes, external assurance, inspection readiness and governance of action planning.

The post holder will implement a comprehensive regulatory framework to meet CQC, NHS England and other external requirements, ensuring timely, robust evidence of compliance and improvement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in quality governance, healthcare management, compliance or related discipline.
• Professional registration or relevant professional qualification.
• Formal qualification in quality improvement, quality management systems, governance or compliance.
• Non-Medical Independent Prescriber qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Trust's regulatory compliance and accreditation portfolio.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive regulatory compliance framework.
• Interpret national policy, legislation and accreditation standards into Trust systems.
• Ensure readiness for external inspection, peer review and accreditation.
• Horizon scan for emerging regulatory requirements and advise senior leaders.
• Develop annual compliance and assurance programmes.
