Job summary

CMS UK in Manchester is seeking an Associate for the Professional Discipline and Regulatory Practice. The role combines rigorous legal analysis with real-world public-interest work across healthcare, social care, and education sectors.

The successful candidate will handle investigations, advising on compliance, and engaging in high-stakes regulatory matters. A background of 3–5 PQE with UK regulatory knowledge, strong drafting and communication skills, and a willingness to develop business

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of UK regulatory schemes in healthcare, social care, and education
• Hands-on experience dealing with investigations in healthcare, social care, or education
• Enthusiasm to learn new disciplines and take on unfamiliar challenges; ability to build a network and publish articles

Responsibilities

• Regulatory compliance advisory for clients across healthcare, social care, and education sectors.
• Lead or support professional disciplinary and safeguarding investigations.
• Due diligence for regulatory health in transactional contexts.
• Represent clients in high-profile inquests and public inquiries.
• Advise on Judicial Review and Court of Protection in regulatory matters.
