Job summary

The Regulatory & Enforcement Lawyer role in Stockport, England, with Page Personnel as the client, focuses on a varied caseload of regulatory, criminal enforcement and litigation matters within a recognised public sector organisation.

You will advise internal stakeholders on enforcement, licensing and regulatory issues, draft complaints, summonses, pleadings and instructions to Counsel, and conduct advocacy before courts, tribunals and regulatory committees.

Qualifications

• Solicitor or equivalent with regulatory and enforcement experience.

Job Description

The Regulatory & Enforcement Lawyer will be:

• Managing a varied caseload of regulatory, criminal enforcement and litigation matters.
• Advising internal stakeholders on enforcement, licensing and regulatory issues.
• Drafting legal documents including complaints, summonses, pleadings and instructions to Counsel.
• Conducting advocacy before courts, tribunals and regulatory committees.
• Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues while contributing to the ongoing development of the wider legal team.

The Successful Applicant

The Regulatory & Enforcement Lawyer should be:

• A solicitor or equivalent with proven experience in regulatory and enforcement law.
• Experienced in managing a full and varied caseload with minimal supervision.
• Skilled in criminal enforcement proceedings and contentious legal matters.
• Confident in conducting advocacy before courts and tribunals.
• Able to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Experienced in licensing work within a public sector or regulated environment (desirable).
• A strong communicator with excellent analytical and drafting skills.
