Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Data Analyst for Regulatory Analytics to transform compliance data into actionable insights. You will own dashboards and regulatory reports, automate data workflows, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and audit-readiness.

The role emphasizes data modeling, pipelines, and stakeholder storytelling, with remote work flexibility and exposure to AML/KYC/MiCA/MiFID frameworks. A strong regulatory background is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data analysis and data management within financial services or a regulated industry, with hands-on experience in compliance and regulatory reporting across AML, KYC, Sanctions, MiCA, or MiFID.
• Strong understanding of regulatory risk and operating in audit-ready environments.
• Expert SQL skills with complex joins, CTEs, and analytics; Python libraries incl. pandas, matplotlib, plotly.
• Hands-on experience using dbt to model data for reporting and decision-making.
• Experience setting up data pipelines and orchestration (Airflow or similar).
• Proficiency with BI tools like Power BI, QuickSight, or Superset for executive dashboards.
• Clear communicator who can simplify data concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Alignment with Kraken's Tentaclements values.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of dashboards, compliance metrics, and regulatory reports for stakeholders and regional officers.
• Automate end-to-end compliance data solutions, governance, and workflows.
• Work with large datasets to create audit-ready data models for reporting and analytics.
• Translate regulatory and business requests into accurate reports and data pipelines using Python, SQL, DBT and Airflow.
• Lead cross-functional projects to maintain high-quality data pipelines and sources.
• Support data quality monitoring and coordinate remediation with responsible teams.
• Tackle ad-hoc data requests for audits and risk assessments.
• Deliver data-driven storytelling to influence compliance direction.
