Regulatory Affairs Specialist (Full-time, Permanent)

What does a Regulatory Affairs Specialist do at Prinova?

Provide in-depth reviews of regulatory matters related to food, feed, and supplements in the EU, UK, and outside EU entities for Prinova Europe. Responsibilities include providing training, troubleshooting, liaising with authorities, consultants, and professional bodies on regulatory issues, and participating in compliance initiatives.

What to expect?
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with food and feed safety, quality, and defense standards such as UK, EU, and GFSI (BRC), Organic, Halal, FAMI QS, and Kosher.
  • Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the business, updating compliance protocols accordingly.
  • Support regulatory strategies for existing and new ingredients/products in UK and EU, ensuring compliance with laws on Allergens, REACH, Novel Food, Packaging, Food Contact Materials, Labelling, Feed laws, Residues, Contaminants, and natural/botanical ingredients.
  • Conduct regulatory reviews of product compliance, including Novel Food status, claims, and labelling.
  • Coordinate with authorities for authorizations and licenses.
  • Maintain and support the Prinova Specification documentation to meet EU regulations.
  • Provide training to the European quality and technical teams.
  • Support QA tasks as needed, and assist the commercial and marketing teams in regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in crisis and incident management as part of the team.
