Position Overview

We seek an organized self-starter with deep knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to the crypto-asset industry in the EMEA region. The ideal candidate will leverage their regulatory expertise within a dynamic environment, continuously developing their skills in blockchain technology, crypto-assets, and regional regulations.

You will translate regulatory requirements into strategic recommendations, manage stakeholder relationships, and work closely with project managers and the broader team to execute licensing initiatives globally. Reporting to the regional Lead in Regulatory and Licensing, your responsibilities include:

  1. Regulatory Strategy Development: Crafting and implementing strategies to identify optimal markets for operation.
  2. Regulatory Advocacy and Collaboration: Engaging with regulatory agencies, industry bodies, and policymakers to influence the regulatory landscape, promoting innovation and compliance.
  3. Policy Analysis and Guidance: Analyzing local regulatory proposals, advising on risks and opportunities, and monitoring regulatory changes for proactive compliance.
  4. Regulatory Approval Process: Assisting in obtaining necessary licenses in target markets.
  5. Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborating with legal, compliance, and finance teams to ensure regulatory alignment and address emerging challenges.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of regulatory experience in financial services or crypto-asset industry.
  • Strong understanding of key regulatory frameworks in the EMEA region, with the ability to apply this knowledge strategically and operationally.
  • Experience in regulatory analysis, including interactions with authorities and consultation responses.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with public speaking experience and ability to represent the company in regulatory discussions.
  • Team player capable of working independently and collaboratively with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • English fluency; Arabic is a plus.
  • University degree.
