Job summary

SSEN Transmission offers a 12-month Regulation Year in Industry internship based in Scotland (Glasgow, Perth or Inverness). Start date September 2027, salary £26,239 per annum plus benefits.

You’ll work with the Regulation team to support regulatory submissions, data analysis and stakeholder engagement, gaining insight into how regulation shapes investment decisions and the electricity network.

Qualifications

• This opportunity is for students in the second or third year who will return to university after the internship.
• You'll study towards a degree in Economics, Law, Engineering, Sciences, Politics or related discipline.
• You'll gain understanding of regulation, policy and commercial decision‑making within a major infrastructure project.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of regulatory submissions and evidence.
• Gather, analyse and present information for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assess the effectiveness of regulatory reporting and submissions.
• Conduct research and analysis to support business decisions.
• Work with colleagues across the business to understand regulatory impacts.
