Job summary

Imperial College London is seeking a Regular Giving and Legacies Coordinator on a full-time, open-ended basis. The role is based at White City Campus with hybrid working (minimum 2 days in the office). Salary ranges from £42,505 to £47,213 per year, with a comprehensive benefits package.

The coordinator will support direct marketing fundraising and administration, liaising with donors and students. You will manage campaigns, provide diary and PA support to the Head of Regular Giving and Legacy

Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer, alumni or donor environment.

  • Outstanding written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and data management.
  • Experience with customer/donor data in CRM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support telethon and direct marketing campaigns, and manage your own fundraising projects.
  • Be the first contact for fundraising queries via phone, email, post and in person.
  • Collect and manage case studies, building relationships with students.
  • Provide general administrative support, e.g., booking meeting rooms.
  • Provide diary management and PA support to the Head of Regular Giving and Legacy Giving.
  • Assist with budgets, PO creation and invoice tracking.

About the role:

Imperial's Regular Giving and Legacy team is seeking a coordinator to support their fundraising programme. Are you interested in a varied and interesting role within a high performing team at a university which is not only world leading, but also world changing? Are you a talented administrator looking to get started in fundraising? Then this could be the role for you.

For this role you will need to demonstrate outstanding organisational skills, be process-led and have excellent communications skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a wide range of individuals.

What you would be doing:

Imperial's Regular and Mid-Level Giving programme raises funds to advance the work of the University. The programme focuses on using direct marketing such as direct mail, email and telephone campaigns to solicit support from alumni through regular donations, mid value gifts and gifts in wills. The team coordinator is the lynchpin of the programme and supports the team in all aspects of direct marketing fundraising and administration.

Duties and responsibilities

Your responsibilities will be wide-ranging, but the key duties are:

  • Support the telethon fundraising campaigns, direct marketing fundraising appeals, and managing your own fundraising projects such as emails and social media.
  • Act as first contact for all fundraising related queries (by telephone, email, post and in person); liaise across the team to draft and send appropriate responses.
  • Collect, collate and manage case studies, including building relationships with students.
  • Support the team with general administrative and office duties such as booking meeting rooms.
  • Provide diary management and PA support to the Head of Regular Giving and Legacy Giving.
  • Support with the team with budgets including raising PO’s and tracking invoices.

In order to hit the ground running, you will need to possess the following required skills:

  • Experience of working in a customer, alumni or donor focused environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to manage a varied workload and a process led approach.
  • Outstanding communications (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, at all levels.
  • A proven track record of outstanding attention to detail and methodical approach to work.
  • A sound understanding of customer relations databases (CRM) to manage customer/donor data.
