A leading healthcare provider in Tasmania seeks a Registrar in Laboratory Haematology for a fixed-term position at Launceston General Hospital. The Team:
Launceston General Hospital (LGH) is a multi-speciality teaching hospital catering to community in Northern Tasmania.As the major clinical teaching and research centre, LGH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions.
Northern Tasmania Pathology Service (NTPS) is a Public Pathology GX laboratory located in LGH and provides multi-disciplinary diagnostic services to community in Northern Tasmania. We offer advanced training in Pathology disciplines and we have a team of dedicated haematologists who supervise thetrainees for Laboratory Haematology.At NTPS, we focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

Essential Requirements:General or limited registration with AHPRA - Medical Board of Australia.
Desirable requirements: Previous experience in Laboratory Haematology

Details of appointment:
Fixed term full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 2 February 2026 until31 January 2027.
Registrars only: You will receive 10 hours of paid, protected training time per fortnight, pro rata.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time and casual vacancies.
Salary:
Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $134,930 - $189,005 per annum, pro rata+ 11.5% superannuation+ access to salary packaging
