The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. It also provides community health, mental health, and primary healthcare services through more than 300 sites.

This is a fixed-term full-time day worker (with on-call) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, starting from 2 February 2026 until 31 January 2027. Longer-term appointments may be available for successful applicants.
Applicants should note that, for twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11, $134,930 - $189,005 per annum, pro-rata, plus 11.5% superannuation, plus access to salary packaging.
