Fancy working where sea otters and penguins watch on as you go about your daily work? We’re currently looking for a Registrar to join the curatorial team at SEA LIFE Birmingham.
In this varied role, you’ll deliver and maintain high standards of welfare throughout the animal care operations by maintaining accurate and meaningful records in compliance with Zoo licensing, BALAI and accreditation requirements.
Reporting to the Curator this will be an office based administrative role. You will coordinate the online record keeping system (OERCA) ensuring the data Is clean and accurate at all times. You will also provide coordination of risk assessments and COSHH, as well as assisting the curator with audits of policies and processes as required.
Focusing on record keeping, budget management and logistics the successful person will deliver administrative support to maintain the continual and complex operation of the department. Alongside continuing to develop our conservation and research goals through student management and partnership logistics.
In addition, you will support with all curatorial recruitment process, producing reports of water quality, and animal health data for regular review, tracking and highlighting any trends to the senior team and maintain the highest levels of veterinary care by ensuring all veterinary records including AHEF’s (Animal Health Enquiry Forms) are up to date along with maintaining accurate drug records at all times.
This role is permanent, offering full-time hours. Working predominantly Monday to Friday with some flexibility around weekend working to support with animal transport or other duties that may happen outside of working hours.
