Registered Veterinary Nurse – Wantage
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a warm and friendly team at a modern practice in Oxfordshire. This full-time role is offered on a fixed term contract until the end of September 2025 and provides the chance to work in a practice that prides itself on excellence in patient care. With a full range of high-quality veterinary services, the practice also runs dedicated cat-only clinics and has proudly achieved a Silver Standard Cat-Friendly Clinic Award from the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).
The successful candidate will be joining a close knit and collaborative team made up of 5 Vets, 4 RVNs, a Student Veterinary Nurse and 2 part-time Client Care Assistants. The practice fosters a positive and supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to grow and thrive. The ideal RVN will be enthusiastic, proactive, and confident in all aspects of nursing, including nurse consults, surgical support, patient care, and client interaction.
As part of the role, the RVN will assist in surgeries and procedures, monitor patient care, manage admissions and discharges, dispense medications, and contribute to the smooth daily running of the practice. A strong team player with a drive for delivering clinical excellence, you’ll play an integral part in maintaining the highest standards of care and communication.
